# MyTradingGuard

> MyTradingGuard is a free trading-discipline tool that sits between TradingView and your broker: every order you place is checked against the trading rules you set (daily loss limit, number of trades, cooldown after a trade, trading hours, high-impact news, and more), and an order that breaks a rule is blocked before it reaches the broker. It is available as a Chrome extension (TradingView in the browser) and a macOS app (TradingView Desktop). No subscription, no account, no credit card.

- The desktop app is macOS only; on any other computer, use TradingView in the browser with the Chrome extension.
- Brokers: Tradovate and Interactive Brokers fully supported on Chrome and macOS; on Chrome also the other brokers that connect to TradingView through its standard broker API.
- Rules (each optional and configurable): Time Windows, Cooldown After a Trade, Overtrading (max trades per day or per rolling window), Max Losing Trades (daily or consecutive), Max Order Size, Max Trailing Drawdown, Max Daily Loss, Max Daily Profit, Consistency, High Impact News (CPI, NFP, FOMC…), Allowed Tickers, No Averaging Down, and the Stop for Today button.
- Safety: orders that close or reduce an open position are never blocked; stop, stop-limit and trailing-stop orders and changes to existing orders are always allowed.
- Discipline: a rule that has been triggered cannot be loosened until the next session; daily limits reset at 18:00 New York time (ET), the CME Globex session boundary.
- Privacy: rules and trading data stay on the user's device; nothing is sent to MyTradingGuard servers; anonymous usage statistics can be turned off.
- Languages: the extension and the app are translated into 39 locales.
